Bios

  • Lindsey Maloof

    DVM

    Dr. Maloof grew up in Milford, Massachusetts, where most of her family still resides. After high school, she attended Cook College, Rutgers University in New Jersey, and earned her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. Dr. Maloof graduated from Iowa State University with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. The summer after graduation, she dug up her roots again and moved west to Utah. Dr. Maloof has been working for VCA All Pet Animal Hospital and enjoying it ever since. Dr. Maloof's professional interests include surgery, small exotic mammal medicine, and the human-animal bond. She also likes attending continuing education lectures in veterinary medicine throughout the year. Dr. Maloof is an active member of the AVMA, UVMA, and SLVMA. Outside of work Dr. Maloof enjoys practicing and competing in agility trials with her dogs, experiencing new adventures with her husband Chris, reading, traveling, relaxing at the spa, and baking (even though the high altitude of Salt Lake City makes it more challenging). She has two dogs Odie and Charlie and a cat Ecco.

  • Brett Neville

    DVM

    Dr. Neville grew up in Layton, Utah. He graduated from Weber State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. In 1984, he took his family to Knoxville, Tennessee, to attend veterinary school. After graduating, Dr. Neville started practicing veterinary medicine at this hospital in 1987. He has been here ever since and provides excellent quality care to all his patients and their people. His major medical interests are feline medicine, dermatology and metabolic disease. As our Medical Director, he helps ensure that our hospital runs smoothly while doing what is right for our clients. Dr. Neville has a lovely wife, Kerri, and five children. He is fluent in American Sign Language and speaks Finnish. His outside interests are fishing, photography and ultra-marathons. His farthest run to date is seventy miles. He loves his Australian Shepherd Chaco, his Berger Picard Luna, and his sweet kitties Nimitz and Tic.

  • John F. Huff III

    DVM

    Dr. Huff grew up in Littleton, Colorado, graduating from Arapahoe High School. He attended Colorado State University for seven years obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with high honors in 1979 and his DVM in 1983 in the top 25% of his class. After practicing small animal medicine and surgery in Arizona for one year, Dr. Huff was accepted into and completed a rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. After practicing in Michigan for seven years and in Utah for eleven years, Dr. Huff moved back home to friends and family in Colorado. His professional achievements include traveling to England to help eradicate foot and mouth disease and special training in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Over the last five years Dr. Huff has pursued an interest in veterinary dentistry, obtaining the status of a Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry in 2008. Dr. Huff's practice is limited to veterinary dentistry with emphasis on endodontics (root canals), prosthodontics (crowns), orthodontics (braces), periodontology (gum disease) and oral surgery. Outside of work Dr. Huff enjoys skiing, snowboarding, backcountry skiing, music, hiking, and camping. He has built a wood strip canoe, two guitars and has climbed all the peaks over 14,000 feet in Colorado. Dr. Huff visits our practice once a month for Advanced Dental Procedures. He practices full time at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, Colorado. www.aveh.com.
