Spencer Cannon

Description

Spencer Cannon, APRN, DNP, CPNP-PC grew up in Salt Lake City. He recently graduated from the University of Utah DNP Program, specializing in pediatrics, and now practices at the University Pediatric Clinic and the Sugar House Health Center. His scholarly project focused on improving concussion management among youth in detention centers along the Wasatch front. He also acquired his undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Utah. Spencer has over 20 years of experience in Utah healthcare starting out at Community Health Centers Inc. as a Medical Records Clerk and then a Medical Assistant. He has worked the last 10 years as a Registered Nurse in cardiology, addiction medicine, and the last five years in general pediatrics at the University of Utah. His special interests include culinary medicine, environmental advocacy, and health policy. In his spare time, Spencer enjoys cooking, hiking and skiing the Wasatch range, and spending time with his wife and two young daughters. He is very excited to be part of the Division of General Pediatrics at the University of Utah, where he feels at home.
