Celia Peña MD is a board-certified physician who specializes in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. She received her medical degree from Tec de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. She performed clinical internships and research at Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Houston Methodist and her Geriatrics Fellowship at the University of Utah. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Geriatrics Society. She is the author of multiple peer-reviewed articles focusing on aging research. Her professional interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease management, dementia and patient-centered care. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, reading and hiking.
