Sara W. Wikstrom

Sara W Wikstrom, MD is an Associate Professor within the Division of General Internal Medicine and the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah. As a hospitalist at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital, her clinical interests include caring for acutely ill hospitalized patients and the education of medical students and residents. Dr. Wikstrom received her BA in History from Yale College in 2002 and her MD from the University of Utah in 2008. She completed her training in internal medicine at The George Washington University Hospital in 2011. She served as a Chief Medical Resident and then joined the faculty at The George Washington University following her residency. While at George Washington, she served as the clerkship director for the internal medicine clerkship and also completed a Masters Degree in Education and Human Development. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine. She joined the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Utah in 2019.
