Tara Lynn Dupont

Dr. DuPont is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah. Her clinical and research interest is in the special health care needs of the “at-risk infant.” She has designed and published studies of outcomes of infants with neonatal encephalopathy due to hypoxia at birth and is the primary investigator for a clinical trial for infants with mild neonatal encephalopathy (the MEND trial). Dr. DuPont"s other research interest is in improving breastfeeding rates for babies in the NICU. She has published on assessing the accuracy of a specific protocol for weighing infants to assess how well an infant feeds at the breast using before and after weights.
