Jacob Owen Robson

Description

Dr. Robson received his medical degree from the University of California San Francisco, with an area of concentration in medical education. He completed his pediatric residency and a chief residency at the Boston Combined Residency Program (Boston Children"s Hospital, Brigham and Women"s Hospital and Boston Medical Center) and his pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California San Francisco. He has been recognized with teaching awards during both his residency and fellowship and he has served on the national committee involved in developing new training standards for fellows in pediatric gastroenterology. Dr. Robson is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, working within the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. Dr. Robson"s clinical interests include eosinophilic esophagitis and management of gastrointestinal issues in children with cystic fibrosis. His research interests include: 1) diagnosing, tracking and treating eosinophilic esophagitis in children, and 2) analysis of whether meeting early growth benchmarks matches up with better weight and lung function later in life for children with cystic fibrosis. Dr. Robson is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology/Nutrition. He sees patients and performs endoscopy at Primary Children"s Hospital and Primary Children"s Riverton Hospital, and will be serving as a gastroenterologist in the multidisciplinary Cystic Fibrosis clinic at Primary Children"s Hospital. Dr. Robson co-founded the Primary Children`s Hospital Food Allergies and Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders Clinic. This weekly clinic at Primary Children`s Hospital Eccles Outpatient Center includes a gastroenterologist (Dr. Robson or Dr. Molly O`Gorman), nurse, dietician and pyschologist.
