Reena P. Tam

Description

Dr. Reena P. Tam received an M.D. from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed a pediatrics residency at the University of Utah followed by a two-year Pediatric Global Health Fellowship in rural India; Chinle Indian Heath Service unit and southern Rwanda. Dr. Tam is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Utah. She is a pediatric hospitalist at Primary Children’s Hospital. Dr. Tam is also an Associate Program Director for the categorical Pediatric Residency Program within which she directs the Global, Rural, Under-resourced Child Health (GRUCH) pathway and the Health Equity, Accountability, and Respect (HEAR) initiatives. Academically, she is interested in medical education scholarship, quality improvement, and improving patient safety and disparities. When not working, Dr. Tam can be found trying new SL-area food trucks, restaurants, bakeries, traveling with kids, hiking/camping, road biking, trail running, XC skiing, and coaching women's lacrosse.
